Grandmaster Clues

Prerequisites

Section titled “Prerequisites”
  • 250 QP
  • Level 90 in all skills
  • 'Actual clues completed' – You must have the clue on your collection log, completed trips, and opened the following number of caskets:
    • Easy – 300
    • Medium – 250
    • Hard – 200
    • Elite – 150
    • Master – 100

Master clue scrolls can be created by Watson using if you have the required lower-tier clues in your bank.

Obtaining

Grandmaster Clues can be received from a wide range of content. Drop rates vary and change often. Common sources include:

Kalphite King, Vasa Magus, Sea Kraken, Ignecarus, Nex, Malygos, Queen Black Dragon,Elder Birdhouses, Fishing, Woodcutting, Master Clue Caskets, and Item Contracts.

Grandmaster clues can also be obtained from opening Master clue caskets

General Loot Table

Grandmaster Caskets contain:

  • Teak, mahogany, yew, magic, and elder logs
  • Various runes
  • Rune and dragon equipment
  • Mysterious Seeds
  • Air, Earth, Fire, and Water orbs
  • Normal, Air, Earth, Fire, Water, Steam, and Lava battlestaves
  • Mystery boxes: Tradeable, Untradeable, Equippable, Pet, and Holiday
  • Barrows equipment
  • XP Lamps (Tiny to Huge)
  • Clue Scrolls (Beginner to Master)
  • Random Clue Scroll loot (Hard to Master)
  • Super Restores and Saradomin Brews

Each casket gives 5–11 loot rolls, so actual drop rates vary. Denoted as x (per-casket values below are averages based on roll count):

  • Malygos and Ignecarus Masks – x/50
  • Deathtouched dart Deathtouched dart – x/4000
  • [Dyes] – x/10000
  • First Age Equipment – x/130000
  • Dwarven blessing Dwarven blessing – x/10000
  • Clue Hunter – x/2500
  • Blabberbeak Blabberbeak – x/20000
  • Ring of Luck – x/8000

Clue hunter outfit exact rate

Grandmaster caskets roll the clue-hunter table at 1/2500 per roll. Each successful roll gives one random piece from 6 pieces.

  • Per-piece rate per roll: 1/15,000
  • Each casket has 5–11 rolls
  • So per casket, each specific piece is roughly between 5/15,000 (1/3000) and 11/15,000 (~1/1364) depending on roll count.
