Smithing
Smithing is one of the more useful skills on the bot, because it is required to create many useful items such as godswords, spirit shields and crystal equipment.
You can train smithing by using /smelt and /smith commands.

Smiths' Uniform
The Smiths' uniform can be purchased with reputation from the Giant's Foundry minigame. When equipped in the skilling setup, it provides the following boosts:
- 15% speed boost to Giant's foundry minigame
- 1 tick (0.6 second) speed boost to any smithable item
- It is somewhat complicated to explain the math behind this, but just know that your trip times will be slightly faster.

- Has a 50% chance to fail in a regular furnace. Ring of forging does NOT work.
**- Equipping goldsmith gauntlets increases the gold bar xp from 22.5 to 56.2.
Blast Furnace
An alternative method to train smithing is through use of the blast furnace. At the blast furnace you can expect to make more bars/hr and in turn, expect higher xp/hr. See the blast furnace page for specifics.
